North Carolina Zoo

We recently visited the NC Zoo and we had an amazing time! The NC Zoo is 500 acres and is nestled in the city of Asheboro. The zoo is home to animals found in North America and in Africa. Everything resembles the animal’s natural habitat and is known as the largest of its kind. My favorite activity is the Zoofari! It’s just like being on a real safari. The NC Zoo should definitely be a stop in your visit to NC!

North Carolina Aquarium

Who doesn’t love the aquarium? Perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day! The NC Aquarium has 4 locations but my favorite location is in the city of Pine Knoll Shores near Atlantic Beach. You won’t just see fish in tanks here. The NC Aquarium offers awesome exhibits and interactive activities for all ages. Be sure to visit in July and enjoy Shark Week!

From water slides, great food, and special events, Carowinds is one of the top water parks to visit. Starting this June, Cirque Imagine will return to Carowinds giving its visitors a thrilling, live action experience! Be sure to add Carowinds to your NC bucket list!

Battleship North Carolina

My son loves battleships and history (so do I!) If you have some history lovers in your family, Battleship North Carolina is a great place to visit. You will feel as though you have taken a step back in time as you get to explore the decks and living quarters of the most decorated U.S. WWII battleship. It’s all hands on deck at this inspiring ship of history, which is located in Wilmington.

North Carolina is one of my favorite states! Carowinds has some of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the south – I love it! Another place to go see in Asheville is the Biltmore Estate. That is one of my most favorite places in the world. Great post about such a beautiful state. πŸ™‚
