How to Balance Playtime and Work Time as A Busy Mom

How to Balance Playtime and Work Time as A Busy Mom

As a busy mom, I know how easy it is to get caught up in all the things we have going on and realize we aren’t getting the most out of play time with my little ones.

Ensuring that I am getting that quality time in with them is a priority but it doesn’t always pan out the way I’d like.

The reason this blog was even started was to document my journey of wanting to create more balance in my life as a mom. It’d be a huge lie to say I get it right all the time because I don’t.

Sometimes I get mad at myself because Alexandria wants to play with me while I’m working and I’m constantly telling no, not right now. I’m really glad that you two made this interview because I needed to hear different ways to keep her entertained while working. This also reminded me that her time being little doesn’t last long and that I must be more proactive and intentional of making great memories together. Thanks Kristie and Mrs. Shauna!

“There is going to be a time when your children will move on. When that time comes, you will need something of your own.” That is so true, and wisdom filled! That is why, in the last third of my season of raising children I’ve begun building a business to continue working from home after the children are doing their own adult-ing things. And so I can be ready to grandparent! 🙂

Exactly Deb! We need something all our own and we can kick back and relax later in life!

As an ambitious woman hoping to be able to do it all, I have fully enjoyed listening to this podcast. Shauna is an amazing mother, educator, talent, and entrepreneur. Listening to all her advice and positivity for not only children, but mothers, and others in the childcare field, is encouraging and helps to spread a little “Shauna Magic” all around.

Needed this! I’m not very natural at playing with my kiddos but I’m great at keeping busy! Trying to figure out a way to do BOTH!
